I stumbled upon the Tom Binns store on Perry St, NYC, last week and was instantly smitten with his Alice in Wonderland range for Disney Couture. The high end collection is incredible (see pics below); beautifully intricate and edgily appropriate to Tim Burton's darker interpretation of the Lewis Carroll classic. Surprisingly, it's not all that expensive either. Standout mid-priced pieces include the silver multistrand, cascading keyhole necklace (£148), the chunkier, silver madhatter charm necklace (£145) and these fantastic madhatter chain earrings (£50). Props to the Disney Couture people for doing their own more affordable range too which has some brilliant items. My favourites are the Queen of Hearts stud crown earrings (£14) and matching pendant that also doubles as a brooch (£35), the acrylic 'Drink Me' necklace (£25), the oxidised silver pocket watch style heart pendant necklace (£45) and the black keyhole studs (£12). UK stockists include Selfridges, ASOS, House of Fraser and American Retro (currently instore only).
